Shades of White – Fashion/Art Exhibition by Ruby Johnson

Friday, 9 November, 2012

I had  a great honor to show one of my necklaces on a beautiful dress by Ruby Johnson (Ruby Ellen Design) in her exhibition Shades of White in October 2012.

Just got a few pictures (by Litrato) from the exhibition.

One Necklace – Many Options

necklace with a tail - front viewHere is one of my newest designs – “necklace with a tail”. I made several versions of it; each is different, but the idea is the same. The primary use is an elegant necklace worn “backwards” (with a long “tail” hanging in the back).

The “tail” can be  detached and worn as a bracelet, with or without the remaining short necklace. Alternatively, it can be clipped into the short necklace  to make a long one. The long necklace can also be wrapped several times around your wrist for a multi-layered bracelet (not shown here).

Elegance

Knotting pearls these days, preparing for several upcoming shows. Here is one of my favourites: a set of necklace, bracelet and earrings, worthy of  bride.

The other picture shows one of my knotted pearls bracelets with elegant magnetic clasps; I have made several versions.

Gone Wild

Thursday, 20 September, 2012

I made a couple of necklaces that have teeth – literally. The first one has an actual fossilized shark’s tooth, wrapped in sterling silver, and accompanied by onyx spikes and black tiger-eye and smoky quartz. The other features the black onyx spikes with carnelian and onyx beads.
